An investigation by CBS News has uncovered an epidemic in suicides among U.S. military veterans — 120 per week in 2005:
One study found that 120 veterans per week have committed suicide. Another found that veterans make up one in four homeless people in the United States, though they are only 11 percent of the general adult population.

Everyday millions of veterans are effected by a computer coding system (SPN) (SDN) (SPD). Said coded number is used to determine eligibility for benefits, used by large corporations / subsidiaries, insurance companies, banks, state and federal government agencies. This coded number will affect your compensation pension claim with the VA. Because of the frivolous way in which these codes were handed out some veterans have been stigmatized with negitive mental health codes that records indicate do not excist. U.S. CODE,TITLE 18, PART 1, CHAPTER 50A, SECTION 1091, Whoever, whether in time of peace orin time of war, in a circumstance described in subsection (d) and with the specific intent to destroy, in whole or in substantial part, a national, ethnic, racial, or religious group as such - (1) kills members of that group; (2) causes serious bodily injury to members of that group; (3) causes the permanent impairment of the mental faculties of members of the group through drugs, torture, or similar techniques; (4) subjects the group to conditions of life that are intended to cause the physical destruction of the group in whole or in part. " (d) " the offense is committed within the United States.
